Paddle-Gall Midge

This midge induces paddle-shaped, monothalamous galls that usually grow at right angles from the ventral midrib on creosote bush leaves.

Diagnosis.— This species forms a circular, bilaterally flattened gall on the undersurface of the leaf (Fig. 2c).
