Globular galls on the lower side of leaves of Quercus pumila, integral to the leaf with a flat top above flush with the leaf surface. Observed in numbers on each leaf, clustered largely but not exclusively around the leaf edge. The exterior of the galls is shortly fuzzy, not quite concealing the surface. They are thin-walled and contain a free-rolling cell, suggesting the inducer likely belongs to the genus Dryocosmus. Observed in Florida in early April.
