A large green swelling on the lower side of the midrib of Quercus laceyi. Thick-walled, polythalamous, covered in hair below and pinching the leaf to a narrow, hairy slit above lined with multiple egress holes. Observed in Texas, immature in late March, vacant by October, likely much sooner. Visitation by a paper wasp suggests some honeydew secretion may be present.

Resembles Kinsey's Neuroterus quercicola agamic galls sensu lato, similar to Neuroterus fragilis, lamellae, or the flat-topped gall on Quercus cornelius-mulleri. An adult female reared from this gall in April 2022 resembles adults of Neuroterus fragilis and washingtonensis and is consistent with Kinsey's species-level description of N quercicola females. A stem gall consistent with the agamic gall Kinsey described for N quercicola has been found on the same host.
