Many small blisters scattered along the midrib and lateral veins of Quercus macrocarpa. The swelling seems to be comparable in size on the midrib and lateral veins, such that when the vein is smaller, more of the gall spills over onto the lamina. Observed in Alberta in September.

This may be Neuroterus niger but differs in that N niger is typically found on the lamina adjacent to the veins rather than centered within the veins themselves.
