Galls are green to white, occasionally tinged with red. One larva, rarely two, inhabits each blister and is very active when disturbed. When full-grown, the larva makes a slit through the leaf epidermis and drops to the ground to pupate...It is not known whether the same species causes galls on all of the viburnum hosts. Hosts: V. acerifolium, V. cassinoides, V. dentatum, V. opulus. Distr.: northeastern United States.
